What is AALL News?

AALL News is the new home for news about AALL members, chapters, Committees, Caucuses, and Special Interest Sections. It replaces the news columns in AALL Spectrum while providing the timely news about AALL activities and its members.

Who writes the AALL News?

Member volunteers serve as columnists. Columnists edit submissions from entities and members. The current columnists are:

Caucus news: Therese Clarke

Chapter news: Diane D'Angelo

Committee news: Therese Clarke

Member news: Sarah Mauldin

SIS news: John Cannan

AALL News is copy-edited and fact checked to meet standards of style, timeliness and accuracy expected of AALL publications.

What is the publication process for the news?

The AALL News columnists receive or solicit news submissions from members or representatives of the various AALL entities. The columnists enter in the stories. Once completed, the columnists submit the stories for copy-editing and fact checking to meet standards of style, timeliness and accuracy expected of AALL publications. Submitted items will be published within 2 to 4 weeks of submission.

How do I submit stories for AALL News?

You may submit your story via email to the appropriate columinist.

What is the deadline for submissions?

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

How soon will my news story be published?

Our goal is to publish the news within 2-4 weeks of submission.

Who do I contact for help with using AALL News or if I have comments, suggestions, compliments, or other feedback on the news?
