| Current Listings: Technical Services Assistant - William Mitchell College of Law (6/9/09) The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for the library’s technical services operation. The Technical Services Assistant will perform tasks that include cataloging, processing cataloged materials, checking in serials, processing bindery, shelving complex materials, removing superseded materials, and assisting with other projects as requested. Qualifications: Some college coursework that includes use of bibliographic and research sources (library science coursework a plus) minimum six months’ previous work experience (library technical services preferred). OCLC, copy cataloging, or Millennium experience is helpful. Also required are superior attention to detail, ability to apply established procedures, protocols and systems with minimal direction, strong proof-reading, data-entry, computer skills and a strong team-player.
